Iranian films win awards at Indian film festival

A lineup of Iranian films has been honored at the Kargil International Film Festival in India.

The 2nd Kargil International Film Festival in the Indian city of Kargil honored four Iranian movies during the closing ceremony of the event on August 23.

The best director award went to Iranian Yusef Jafari for his documentary ‘Chocolate Story’.

The best director of a short film went to Milad Jarmuz for his short ‘Numbness’.

‘Light Sight’ directed by Seyyed Moslem Tabatabai won the best animation award, while ‘In the Crosshairs’ brought home the best director of an animation award for Marzieh Kheirkhah.

More than 85 documentary films from 29 different countries were screened during the three-day festival.
